About the exam

What is the NCEE?

The National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) is the federal selection examination administered by the National Examinations Council (NECO) for placement into Federal Government Colleges (Unity Schools) and an expanding list of partner secondary schools across Nigeria. It is one of the most competitive transitions a Nigerian child will face, and it rewards two things in equal measure: preparation and composure.

Most children who underperform on NCEE do not lack ability — they lack familiarity. They have not practised under the same timer, with the same answer style, on the same number of questions in a single sitting. Qualificant is built to close that gap.

FAQ

NCEE preparation — your questions answered

What is the NCEE?
The National Common Entrance Examination is the federal selection exam for placement into Federal Government Colleges and partner secondary schools across Nigeria. It is sat at the end of Primary 6 and tests Mathematics, English Studies, Basic Science & Technology, NVE, Quantitative and Verbal Aptitude.
How is Qualificant different from NCEE past-question booklets?
Booklets give your child the questions but not the experience. Qualificant adds the timer, the on-screen interface, the pacing pressure, and immediate explanations — the things that actually move scores on test day.
How many practice questions are included?
Thousands of NCEE-style questions across every blueprint subject, refreshed regularly so children don’t simply memorise answers.
Can my child practise on a phone?
Yes. Qualificant works on any modern phone, tablet or laptop. We recommend a tablet or laptop for full simulations.
How early should we start preparing for NCEE?
Most parents start in Primary 5 with light weekly practice and ramp up to full timed simulations during Primary 6. A focused 12-week plan still moves scores significantly.
